Sherry Alexander has been associated with Rose State College for 5 years working with the EmPower Program. EmPower’s mission is to improve clients’ business skills and assist as they seek employment in professional office settings to achieve self-sufficiency.

Sherry is a certified trainer with Aha! Process for seminars based on the work of Dr. Ruby Payne with under-resourced students and adults. Sherry works with human resource departments, medical groups, service providers, schools, colleges and individuals to improve employee retention and client success by adding Economic Culture to the concept of Diversity. New concepts, tools, and skills are delivered in her interactive 1, 2 and 3-day seminars.

Before joining EmPower, Sherry was a corporate trainer. She received the National Achievement Award for the top 1% of trainers in the United States. After working with training companies, Sherry owned her own business and contracted with organizations as Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Tinker Air Force Base, FAA, Boeing, and Devon Energy. When asked “Why do you want to leave corporate training?” Sherry replied, “Teaching in a corporate environment is great. But once I do the training, I never see those people again. At EmPower I have the opportunity to participate in helping people transform their lives. This is where I belong.”
