Heather Langley

Heather Langley has been with Family and Children’s Services for five years, working as an Employment Specialist for Women in Recovery. She received a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a certificate in Women’s Studies from the University of Tulsa, and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. As an Employment Specialist,

Heather’s goal is to prepare Women in Recovery participants for the workplace and ensure that, once employed, they are productive members of the workforce. In addition, she also engages in community advocacy and outreach in order to create positive relationships with employers and organizations that may lead to jobs for participants or program support, including helping to create and maintain a computer training program with Tulsa Community College on-site at the Women in Recovery Center.

Heather is passionate about her work and the power that change has to transform the lives of Women in Recovery participants and their children, altering their trajectories and granting them a second chance at life and self-sufficiency. Above all, Heather is appreciative that the Tulsa community shares this same desire to inspire change in the lives of others, and is extremely grateful for the time and support that has been given to Women in Recovery, as well as the community’s philanthropic efforts to make Tulsa a better place.
