Carl Pendleton

Carl Pendleton, a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, also had the pleasure of being educated in the Sooner State. Carl graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Sociology/Criminology, with a Minor in Religious Studies and subsequently a M.Ed. in Adult & Higher Education. Along with his educational pursuits at OU, he had the opportunity of serving in leadership positions in numerous organizations on campus while competing as a multiple year starter as a football student athlete. Before leaving OU, Carl served as the assistant athletic director for athletic development, the fund raising branch of the athletic department.
Carl has been a police officer with the City of Norman since 2009. Carl has a passion for teaching and instructs multiple disciplines including domestic violence investigations, Crisis Intervention, Cultural Awareness & Bias, in the Norman Police Academy, as well as, numerous agencies across the state.
He is a Drug Recognition Expert, a Police Training Officer, a Crisis Intervention Team Officer, as well as a Teaching – Education – and Mentoring Officer. Carl reached the rank of Master Police Officer with his agency and currently serves as the Police Recruiter. Along with his recruiting duties, Carl has responsibilities with Public Information, Social Media, Photo & Video Editing, and managing the internship programs. He is also a member of the Cleveland County Coordinated Response Team for Domestic Violence.
