Dr. M. Susie Whittington
Professor at The Ohio State University
Dr. M. Susie Whittington serves on the undergraduate and graduate faculty at The Ohio State University. She directs a Hatch research project, “Improving the Cognitive Capacity of Students by Fully Engaging Professors in the Teaching and Learning Process.” Those efforts have been awarded the Author of the Year from the American Association for Agricultural Education, and the E. B. Knight and Jack Everly Outstanding Journal Article Awards from the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture. She is the junior author of the textbook, Methods of Teaching Agriculture and co-author of Toward Cultural Proficiency (Did You Know Publishing, Inc.)
Susie’s teaching has been awarded the USDA National Teaching Excellence Award, and the Plimpton and Pomerene Teaching Awards from her college and department, respectively. She has been awarded The Josephine Sitterle Failer Award for Outstanding Service to Students by the University Alumni Association. She completed terms as President of ACTER and AAAE.
Dr. Whittington’s BS, MS, and PhD were earned at The Ohio State University in Agricultural Education.
