   Policy and Practices

This session will provide a brief overview of poverty awareness as it impacts student engagement, academic performance and ensuring access to CTE-related opportunities.  A key focus will be to discuss and examine examples of school/college policies and classroom practices that may be barriers to student engagement and participation.  Participants will leave with heightened awareness and next steps for addressing their own institutional practices and policies.
