Marla Marsh and Monica Marsh

 

Marla M. Marsh is a retired educator (of 30 years) from the Middletown City School District (Middletown, OH), retiring in January, 2014.  Within the district she served in the following capacities:  teacher and principal (elementary and middle school experience).  Marla is currently an adjunct professor at Ashland University and the University of Dayton.  She serves on the Board of Directors for the Middletown Chapter of Kiwanis and is President-Elect. 

 

Monica M. Marsh is a retired educator (of 30 years) from Butler Technology Career Development Schools (Hamilton, OH), retiring in December 2013.  Her experiences in education include teacher, elementary principal, high school principal, and supervisor of special services.  She is currently an adjunct professor at Ashland University and the University of Dayton.  Monica is a member of Kiwanis (Middletown Chapter) and currently serves on the Board of Directors.  She is also president of Career Technical Education Equity Council (CTEEC). 

 

Both Monica and Marla have co-authored numerous publications and two curriculums which focus on Cultural Competency and Character Education.  Their curriculum has been adopted at The Ohio State University (also their Alma Mater – BS, 1984).  Their work is now a general requirement course at Ohio State.  Although they are retired from education, they are very much involved in teaching, serving as consultants for Did You Know Publishing, Inc. – in Cincinnati, Ohio.  They have presented on the local, state, and national level on multiple occasions.
